“Shine A Loving Light” was written and produced by Legend Music’s Gary Crause and Rob Cooke to raise funds for the tsunami and earthquake disaster in Japan through Love Aid Phuket

Thai and expat musicians came together at the Legend Music studio, donating their time and services to produce a song to be sold on CD to be sold to raise money for the charity drive.

Joining the professional musicians from around Phuket were students from the British International Schoool (BIS). See the BIS students in action in the video below, which is available in a DVD/CD pack.

Phuket based musicians came to check out the brand new ‘destination’ recording studio at the Boat Lagoon and meet South African producer / musician Gary Crause, who has produced albums for many of South Africa’s pop stars.

Blues – rock legend Pat Savage was among the guests who turned up to meet Gary and check out Phuket’s latest professional recording studio.

Gary moved to Phuket from South Africa earlier this year, shipping container loads of percussion instruments and high-tech recording equipment, including state-of-the-art monitors, pre amps, mixers and controllers.

The studio comprises three large recording booths and lounge areas, all of which are tastefully decorated.

“Legend Music is a destination recording studio,” said Gary.

“Everything is on hand for musicians to simply turn up and begin recording. They don’t even have to bring their instruments,” he said, gesturing to the rack of guitars.

“Phuket is also a great destination for musicians to come and record an album. Even when you consider the costs of flying and staying here, it can still work out cheaper to record at Legend Music than it would at a studio of the same standards in Europe or the US,” said Gary.
